VULKAN — EPK

About:

Vulkan is a Swedish progressive metal band from Karlstad, known for heavy, atmospheric and melodic compositions.

Formed in 2006, the band began recording under a different name before evolving into a heavier and more expansive sound that ultimately became Vulkan. Heavy, epic and deeply melodic, wrapped in a progressive framework, define the band’s core identity.

Following the releases of Mask of Air (2011) and Observants (2016), Vulkan reached a new creative peak with Technatura (2020), an album that refined their sound into a cohesive and immersive journey spanning over 60 minutes

Currently, Vulkan are working on their next full-length album, scheduled for release in 2026. Building upon the foundation laid by Technatura, the band continues to push their sonic boundaries, focusing on atmosphere, dynamics and long-form composition while moving their sound into new and unexplored territory.
